I am a versatile designer/illustrator, committed to human-centered design, and research-driven solutions. My recent work centers on UX design for complex digital systems, specializing in search interfaces and user research—using personal interviews and data analysis to craft intuitive, accessible experiences.
With a master’s degree in UX, I bring a multidisciplinary background in graphic design, web design, UI, and science illustration. I thrive in science communications: translating complex concepts into impactful visuals and interactive storytelling for publishing, museums, botanical gardens, and academic projects.
I actively collaborate with researchers, educators, and community organizations to design interpretive signage, educational programs, and art-science initiatives that engage the public and support environmental research. Whether leading a digital product’s UX strategy or visualizing data for science outreach, I am passionate about using design to help people better understand our world—and to support projects making a positive impact.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to projects in academia and consultancy, creating designs and illustrations for publishing, science communication, and interpretive signage for museums and botanical gardens. I also develop collaborative art and science programs to engage communities and support environmental research initiatives.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me, even if you only need help defining your design brief. I’ll recommend others if they can do a better job for you.

THE PROBLEM DEFINED
Based on my preliminary interview with the site owner, this literary long-form reading site looked ok on first glance: the visual design gave an attractive first impression and it looked like it was doing well. The analytics showed lots of pageviews.
But, beneath the surface, there were some concerning numbers:
–the number of subscribers and donations had leveled off.
–The bounce rate was very high, meaning most viewers left after viewing the home page.
–average engaged time spent on site was low–-a major concern for a literary magazine featuring long thoughtful essays, and poetry.
Important fact: the site does not show ads and relies on donations.
My research combined input from myself and 3 other designers using a rubric of questions and spaces for their commentary.
