It was a real treat to draw faces both before and during Commodity Classic 2023! This partnership had two phases: the first was pre-produced portraits of Westbred award winners that were displayed on-site at the expo, and the second was on-site portraits made in real time of attendees! Working within a specific color palette and style, I produced highly-detailed portraits of the award winners which served as the backdrop for conversations in the Westbred section of the Bayer booth. Attendees could then have their portraits drawn while I was on-site in the booth and I cast my screen to a monitor for them to view it being made. Completed portraits were then uploaded to a Westbred landing page (https://westbred.me/) where they could be downloaded and shared by the attendees. Allianz On-Site Mural for NAPA 401k Summit Booth

"This is amazing." "I've never seen anything like this!" "This is the coolest idea." Believe me, Lorrie Macy and I did not tire of hearing just how excited people were to see their retirement goals become artwork in front of their eyes at the NAPA401kSummit 2024 in Nashville, TN! Conference attendees were invited to submit how they were Reframing Their Retirement at the Allianz booth, making the mental shift from dollars and cents to actual retirement life goals they want to make happen. Golfing, boating, parasailing, starting a book club, spending time with family and grandchildren, riding horses, hiking, skiing and traveling... everyone had their own view on what retirement best looked like for themselves. Over the course of 15+ hours, we translated goals from Post-It notes to artwork, and integrated them into our mural on-site. Attendees returned to the Allianz booth several times to check where their goal had appeared on the mural and to peek at the progress being made throughout both Exhibit Hall days of the conference. The mural was a great point of engagement not just for us as artists, but for the booth reps to make connections with attendees, capturing leads and offering services. Bright colors and expressive hand lettering evoke the spirit and excitement of poolside summer fun in this mural designed and installed by Jillian Kaye Art for the Manchester Aquatic Center (for the city of Manchester in St. Louis County, MO).
