Songwriter, Producer & Multidisciplinary Creative I’m a songwriter, music producer and arranger with 20+ years’ experience turning ideas into original, emotionally-driven sound. Music & Production: With 150+ original compositions to my name, I’ve written and produced everything from fully orchestrated musicals to 3 folk-rock albums now live on streaming platforms. My work spans film/game soundtracks, instrumental scores and bespoke jingles for brands. As a multi-instrumentalist I bring a complete arrangement perspective — I speak the language of every instrument in the room. Specialties include acoustic guitar, bass lines, original guitar solos, piano and backing vocals. I also record drums, harmonica, virtual instruments and percussion, so I can take a track from concept to final mix without losing the creative thread. Storytelling & Writing: I’m also a published author with 2 #1 Amazon bestsellers. For years I’ve taught creative writing, character development, plot structure, symbolism and archetypes. That storytelling foundation means my music isn’t just well-produced — it has narrative, intent and emotional impact. I also hold an IELTS-level qualification in English and have years of experience in English-Portuguese translation. Branding & Design: Beyond audio, I work in visual identity: drawing, branding, album artwork, book covers and banners. I understand how sound and visuals work together to create a cohesive brand experience. Business & Psychology: I study philosophy and psychology, with expertise in body language, persuasion, sales and online marketing. This gives me the ability to translate a client brief into something that doesn’t just sound good — it connects, sells and sticks. What I bring to your project: That mix of music, writing, design and psychology means I’m built for creating new ideas and full audiovisual identities from scratch. Whether you need an original soundtrack, a sonic brand, a jingle that people remember, or a creative concept with real narrative depth, I can materialize your ideas in an original and engaging way. Let’s discuss your project and see how we can make it stand out.

Work Experience

Songwriteer, Producer & Multi-Instrumentalist at Phil Headway
October 8, 2022 - November 26, 2025
Composed and produced 3 folk/classic rock albums: Philline (2023), Nerthus (2025) and The Answers (2025). Recorded everything in my home studio as a multi-instrumentalist: acoustic guitar, bass, electric guitar, piano, organ, synths, drums, harmonica, melodica, percussion and backing vocals. Featured guest contributions on vocals, horns and drums. Focused on experimental sound design and emotional impact: incorporated unconventional elements like aluminum pizza tray with snare drum, hair comb, creaking doors, glass clinks, background dialogue, and subliminal frequencies to create a cinematic listening experience. The albums have reached thousands of listeners worldwide, generated significant social media views, and were featured in major blogs and music sites.

    The Answers

The Answers, released Nov 27 on Thanksgiving, is Phil Headway’s most innovative album to date. He chose the date as a symbol of gratitude to his family and fans. The record blends traditional American folk and rock with Celtic-Irish influences, political and provocative lyrics, and strong storytelling. It moves between folk, rock, country and R&B, and works perfectly for long drives, pubs, or family time. Tracks like opener “Cannies of Truth” hit hard with an empowered acoustic guitar and a call for freedom of thought. The title track “The Answers” reflects on the emptiness we fill to avoid hard truths, while standout “Goo Goo Girl” has already drawn praise from critics for composition, mix and mastering. The album keeps a cinematic flow with songs like “An Envious Tree,” a Celtic-tinged folk-opera about a tree that grows downward seeking light, offering a deep take on human relationships. “When I Try” delivers a provocative message through a smooth, playful melody, and “Here on the Other Side” uses a soldier burned in an unwanted war as a metaphor for artists who sell out for fame and lose their organic sound. The cover says it all: Phil stands packed and ready to move forward, his wife closing the door on the past. The question the album leaves: what’s in those suitcases, and who knows the answers?
