Live Sound engineer

Mixing Engineer is needed in Frederick, United States.

A1 position for the purpose of hiring a Lead Sound Engineer to mix on a weekly basis at Frederick Christian Fellowship Church. The main purpose and goal of the Lead Sound Engineer (A1) is to create a sound experience, free of distraction, where people are encouraged to worship God through music, and internalize the messages presented by the speakers.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of A1 experience in a church or professional environment.

Extensive knowledge of equipment and DAW’s from different leading audio manufacturers.

Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment and any networking issues related to said equipment.

Ability to produce clean and well balanced mixes appropriate for church worship environment.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To familiarize self with recorded musical arrangements prior to rehearsals in order to best replicate tonal and musical balance.

To be on-site at least thirty minutes prior to music rehearsals on rehearsal nights and Sunday mornings.

To prepare and provide all musicians, vocalists, and presenters with microphones, in-ears, etc.

Mix band’s in ear mixes from FOH.

Set up multi track recording of rehearsals and services whenever requested by Director of Music Ministries.

Create mix with appropriate musical and vocal balances, while within db SPL parameters as set by Director of Music Ministries.

To work hand in hand with Director of Music Ministries, Creative Director, and Senior Pastor, to ensure mix is appropriate to accommodate a congregational environment.

Inform Director of Music Ministries anytime there is equipment damage that requires repair or replacement.
