Location : Remote from the United States

Contract : Part Time, Full Time

We are currently seeking a talented UI/UX Designer for a part-time 50% remote role. Candidates must have resided in the US for at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating user interfaces with a focus on clarity and usability, employing human-centered design principles and iterative design techniques. Join our fast-paced environment and collaborate with customers, analysts, developers, and architects to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Job Description:

  • Design user interfaces with an emphasis on clarity and usability, using human-centered design principles and participatory/iterative design techniques.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and other design artifacts to effectively communicate interaction ideas.
  • Make deliberate UI design decisions and translate user-experience journeys into smooth and intuitive interactions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary project-based teams, actively seeking feedback and information to drive design engagements and decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Ensure compliance with web standards and accessibility (508 compliance).
  • Utilize design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Dreamweaver, etc.
  • Possess a problem-solving mindset and demonstrate creativity in finding solutions.
  • Conduct user testing and apply UX processes to enhance design.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, and user flows.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Dreamweaver.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Familiarity with Bootstrap UI framework (desired).
  • Understanding of web standards and accessibility (508 compliance).
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence (preferred).
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 years of professional experience or 6 years with a related Master’s degree.
  • 6-10 years of UX design experience (portfolio required).
  • Prior experience working with federal customers (preferred).

Please note that this is a part-time role and candidates must meet the residency requirement. The position offers the flexibility of remote work.
