Contract: Full Time, Part Time

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing creative materials for Sports & Entertainment brands such as the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and The District Detroit. The role involves designing projects and campaigns across various channels, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, and delivering on time.

Key Responsibilities / Skill Requirements:

• Design and layout projects and campaigns from conceptual stages to final approval
• Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
• Collaborate with copywriters and creative team leadership to produce final designs
• Test graphics across different media platforms
• Ensure that final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and consistent with the brand
• Utilize internal data and analytics tools to identify insights related to concepts and designs that support business objectives
• Stay updated on the latest design trends and industry best practices
• Act as a brand steward for all properties
• Work cross-functionally with marketing, ticketing, sponsorships, and other relevant departments

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Media Arts, Graphic Design, or related field
• 2-4 years of design experience at an ad agency, design firm, or internal creative services team
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and experience
• High integrity and ethical standards
• Ability to lead projects and meet creative request deadlines
• Proficiency in following direction and making necessary changes
• Maintain and improve an organized archive of digital assets
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to department practices and procedures
• Collaboration skills for working on group projects as well as independently
• Thorough knowledge of graphics-related software, including Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
• Motion graphics, video editing, and/or 3D graphic experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proactive problem solver who can work well under pressure
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Open to feedback and responsive to design critique and changes
• Quick learner in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Working Conditions:

Job Types:

Pay:

• $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
