Ashland Specialty Ingredients is looking for a talented and creative temporary graphic designer to support various business units, corporate functions, and facilities. This remote position requires 32 hours per week for a six-month period with potential for renewal. Candidates located near Wilmington, DE, are preferred for occasional on-site assistance. Reporting to the Global Director of Creative, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and updating professional, on-brand literature assets for both print and digital applications. They will also assist in maintaining Ashland’s design and asset library, support website development, and work on other projects as needed.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in graphic design
• 6+ years of professional experience
• Exceptional inDesign layout design skills, including the use of advanced layout tools
• Experience designing and programming interactive PDF documents in inDesign
• Expert knowledge of graphic design processes from concept to production
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• High proficiency in Adobe CC inDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of branding and ability to work within established brand guidelines
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Positive attitude, problem-solving mentality, and high energy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Portfolio showcasing design capabilities in print and digital applications

Preferred Skills:

• Strong editing, writing, and spelling skills
• Video editing capabilities
• Experience with website design and CMS platforms
• Experience with email blast templates and campaigns
• Understanding of email marketing and website best practices, UI/UX
• Experience in creating animated gifs/motion graphics
• Knowledge of coding and responsive digital design
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Social media posting experience
• Must be authorized to work in the US
