Job Description

Publishers Clearing House (PCH) is a leader in the direct marketing space, offering a unique blend of sweepstakes and entertainment across a wide array of digital properties. PCH is seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Designer to work with our team to create compelling emails and site packages that will help support our third-party brand partnerships. This includes registration pages, landing pages, and other pages in the user flow, optimized for both desktop and mobile, as well as display ads.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email design best practices, strong knowledge of web technologies, and will be able to create visually appealing and effective campaigns.

Responsibilities

• A strong sense of clean, modern design, especially mobile, and a focus on user acquisition and experience
• Create iterations of existing content as well as new unique creatives that align with the PCH style guide and adheres to third-party guidelines
• Work closely with our Creative team to understand campaign objectives and requirements
• Design and code emails for various initiatives
• Create email templates that are mobile-responsive and compatible with different email clients
• Test and optimize email designs for maximum deliverability and engagement; and optimize email designs for dark mode rendering
• Manage and maintain email templates and assets
• Cohesively design registration pages, landing pages, advertisements, and other assets, so that they all work together to create a strong and compelling user experience with high conversion rates
• Prepare page assets (slicing, exporting, optimizing) for handoff to another team to build, test and deploy
• Prioritize work on an as-needed basis to ensure we meet tight deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience in email design and HTML coding
• Knowledge of email design best practices and principles
• Familiar with content management systems and admin tools
• Proficient in Photoshop and Dreamweaver
• Familiar with email marketing tools and platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work quickly
• Ability to multitask, collaborate and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Type and Schedule

Temporary position with an hourly range of $25 - $35 per hour. The hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified. When determining exact compensation, several factors may be considered (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, skills, and budget). Work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a hybrid remote in Jericho, NY 11753.
