Software Release Engineer – Bridgeton, MO
Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Kelly Technology has a need for a Software Release Engineer to assist with software and product testing. You will create and maintain custom applications for use in the production of products. As a Software Release Engineer, you will help develop new software packing, deployment and delivery methods for field service representatives and customers.
You will have experience developing software installation programs with InstallShield, Wise Packaging Studio, Inno Setup, NSIS, Windows Installer or equivalent software. Excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, migrate and maintain software installation programs using InstallShield and other software deployment authoring tools.
- Assist in developing new software packaging and deployment methods and standards.
- Author test procedures, reports, and installation instructions.
- Investigate quality assurance concerns.
- Implement support for technical software requirements.
- Perform software, systems and product testing.
- Work in a multi-discipline team with focus on following the teams’ values, principles, and practices.
- Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with automated software packaging and software delivery methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate information to a team.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience with documenting and developing software requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities.
