The UHealth System at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Coordinator.
SUMMARY
Serves as the point person for daily requests and helps expedite priority post requests from internal clients. This position works closely with internal team members including medical communications, UHealth Marketing, Patient Experience, content creation, and vendors to produce consistent digital assets across all platforms.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with drafting, scheduling social media posts for multiple brands based on established social media calendar or internal requests
- Assist with logistics for social media digital asset production including, photo, video, events, promoted posts, permanent and ephemeral content
- Develop social media posts in adherence to university and health system policy and standards
- Ensure all social communication meets brand guidelines, standards and tone
- Partner with the marketing team and agency to assist with the tactical development and overall social media advertising campaigns
- Partner with the medical communications team to ensure the timely distribution of internally produced content via social media
- Assist with crisis communication through social media outlets as necessary
- Coordinates event coverage for social media with agencies, vendors and event staff
- Help with marketing research, competitive analysis, and preparing reports
- Assists with maintaining a comprehensive social media calendar for each brand
- Keep pace with industry trends and use them to improve how we do business and drive results
- Use social listening tools to monitor social channels for reputation-impacting posts and communications
- Generate growth year-over-year in awareness, preference, trial and key initiatives for the brand
- Maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external clients

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience:
One to two years of experience in social media, multimedia and visual communications.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Self-starter capable of working as a collaborative team player or independently
- Strong, conceptual thinker who possesses a wide range of design capabilities
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English
- Superior English grammar, punctuation, spelling and story-telling skills
- Able to successfully manage time and multiple projects, while remaining flexible in order to meet strict and sometimes aggressive deadlines with consistent quality performance
- Collaborate with members of the communications and marketing teams and effectively communicate ideas
