Job Summary:

This position will support the Office of Community Engagement including the Community-Engaged Learning Quality Enhancement Plan Go Beyond the Classroom and the ETSU Elevates program. ETSU Elevates is a student-led community engagement initiative supporting partnerships between ETSU and regional community organizations that will address societal issues.

General Scope of Work:

This position will assist with creating videos and graphics for community partners in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Create 1-2 minute videos that showcase the mission, goals, and needs of a variety of community partners in the region (Kingsport, Bristol, and Johnson City).
• Schedule video shoots and/or gather footage from community partners, and edit the videos in preparation for posting on a website. Travel to the community partner site or arrange for them to come to campus for the video shoots.
• Assist with the design of the community partner website page that showcases the videos.
• Create graphics as needed for the videos and website. This work will be done in collaboration with the Office of University Marketing & Communication.
• Support ETSU Elevates by creating digital content for community partners that will promote the event.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
• Self-directed, strong time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with filming and editing digital video.
• Experience with Social media platforms such as Instagram.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to community partner sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the One Button Studio in the Student Media Center.
• Experience with Graphic design platforms such as Canva and Marq.

Salary:

$15 per hour

Special Instructions to Applicants:

This is the time commitment for this position: Approximately 6-7 weeks between June 7 and will end August 18. Work will require 10-15 hours a week during 8-5 work hours. This is not a remote position.
