Job Description
You’ll plan, arrange, shoot, and edit photography for our magazine publications and turn photos in on or before the given deadline. You’re responsible for contacting the subject, scheduling a time and place for the photography, and completing the photo assignment. You should also determine that if the subject is unavailable, acquire photos to be submitted from the subject or other relevant contacts to use in the magazine.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan the photography for the story
- Acquire photos/submissions when applicable
- Arrange photoshoots with subjects, including time and place
- Shoot and edit the photography
- Submit the photography on or before the given deadline
- Drive to the meeting location for shoots
- Follow all internal processes and workflows
- Follow directions correctly on all projects, carefully taking quality photography
- Work on multiple photo assignments at a time
- Communicate with the managing editor and keep them up to date on photography progress
- Maintain a friendly, cordial, and courteous relationship with our subjects and the team
- Seek continuous improvement as a photographer
Pay: $750.00 - $1,050.00 per month
