Blue Hippo is a scenic fabrication company specializing in fiberglass static figures for theme parks and the themed entertainment industries.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced skills and knowledge in the following:
• Bodywork
• Paint Techniques (faux finishes)
• Brush and Airbrush (cup and other various guns)
• Automotive Paint
• Substartes and Solvents
• Color Theory

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to prep, prime, and paint large-scale scenic pieces in a variety of mediums.
• The scenic artist works with art and fiberglass leads to create images that match client designs, drawings, and blueprints.
• Adhere to strict standards and workflow.
• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Flexible schedule due to weather conditions and possible overtime.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to prolonged standing, frequent bending/reaching/stooping, overhead work, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, respirator, gloves, harness, and/or protective outerwear are required.
• Exposure to dust, odors/fumes, heat (dependent upon weather conditions) and noise is typical.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
