Client: Missionary Training Center - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Location: Provo, United States

Contract: Part Time

Responsibilities:

• Reports to supervisor or manager level in the Training Department
• Assists instructional designers with layout, typography, photo manipulation, and design of instruction materials
• Designs messaging for MTC information and services
• Designs booklets, brochures, and presentation graphics
• Assists in sign making and other miscellaneous projects
• Meets with developers and designers to discuss the scope and graphic requirements of projects
• May include other temporary assigned duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)
• Work 15-20 hours/week

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required: Portfolio demonstrating strong design and typography skills
• Preferred: Major or pre-major in graphic design, arts, media arts, advertising, or other similar studies
• Working knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Illustrator
• Available to work 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
• Ability to give and receive feedback
• Ability to navigate Mac OSX functions
