Desired Skill Set:

• Strong creative page layout skills to format dynamic magazine spreads
• Attention to detail and ability to meet recurring weekly/monthly deadlines are key success traits for this position
• 5+ years of professional experience in design and production processes for printed publications using a Mac-based platform
• Able to do production work in a consistent and timely manner, including formatting statistics and using existing publication templates and style sheets to lay out standard columns and features
• High proficiency with Adobe InDesign as well as color-correcting skills with Adobe Photoshop. Knowledgeable in Adobe InCopy, Dropbox, FTP, VPN, WordPress and MailChimp, among others.
• Able to organize and maintain an in-house asset library
• A deadline-oriented individual with strong communications skills

• Individual must be able to work cohesively with editors, designers, photographers and other staff members
• A highly responsible individual with high integrity and ethics

Details:

• Part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours a week
• Based in Durham, N.C., with the opportunity for remote/WFH work on a scheduled basis
• We would consider a fully remote option for the right candidate
• Position entails normal business hours and some morning weekend duties during the football season
• Company offers a competitive hourly wage based on capability and experience
