Location: Holyoke, United States

Contract: Contractor

Primary Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain complex PL/SQL code to support business processes and data integration requirements.
  • Design and develop database structures, tables, views, and functions to support application requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation including data dictionaries and functional specifications.
  • Optimize SQL queries for improved performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, database performance, and application functionality.
  • Write functional specs to document business requirements and user stories.

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS concepts and implementation.
  • Excellent PL/SQL knowledge. At least 5 yearsโ€™ experience developing complex applications using Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Familiar with responsibilities and problems inherent in parallel, simultaneous development. This includes implementing changes to existing applications within a well-defined scope and adhering to change management controls.
  • Experience with GIT code management system.
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written including technical documentation.
  • Ability to work well with others within a project team.

Desired but Not Required Skillset

  • Experience with Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Python.

Requirements

  • Candidates provided must be pre-screened to ensure they fully meet the qualifications and experience level requirements.

Work Availability

  • Candidate will be required to work on-site 2 days a week during normal business hours 8:00a.m โ€“ 4:30p.m.
  • Candidate must expect pre-approval of any compensated overtime or vacation requests in advance.
  • Candidate must adhere to clients Holiday schedule unless otherwise approved in advance by client.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and also to complete tasks independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work under demanding time constraints.

Salary

  • $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
