Job Description:
St. Gabriel Catholic Church is seeking to hire a part time Music Coordinator (25hours/week includes weekends) to facilitate and plan the music for all Liturgies.
The ideal candidate must possess a solid and strong knowledge of Catholic Liturgy; knowledge of liturgical music in a variety of styles, leadership skills to enable vocal training with cantors and the ability to work in cooperation with and under the direction of the pastor.
- Provide practical preparation for all liturgical celebrations from cantors, instrumentalist, and choir.
- Proficient in piano is preferred.
- A degree in music performances and composition or equivalent education is preferred.
- Strong computer skills a must.
- Must be a practicing Roman Catholic.
- Salary is in accordance with Richmond Catholic Diocese scale.
- Three to five year liturgical music experience.
