Seeking a Commercial freelance space planner to develop CAD layouts of classrooms and administrative areas for school buildings. The designer should have experience with space planning software, preferrable CET (Configura). This contract position could last for 12-18 month. The goal is to contract with an individual who has 5+ years of experience working with furniture manufacturer symbols, drawing tools, finish selection and textiles. The goal is to locate a creative tech-savvy individual to quickly integrate with our design team to develop all of the floor plans, renderings and furniture placements for a new project.

Responsibilities:

• Research products and communicate with suppliers for pricing and details
• Collaborate in design discovery and co-creation with stakeholders to discover needs and challenges.
• Specify furniture and finishes according to final layouts
• Generate, Organize and Maintain CET/Cad Files
• Create & Present Design concepts to customer.
• Submit Designs to the furniture manufacturers to garner pricing
• Develop design budgets and proposals.

Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Interior or Architectural Design Preferred

Prior experience with systems furniture products preferred

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills

• Working Proficiency in a variety of software: CET Designer, AutoCad, SketchUP & Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of commercial furniture product, symbols and furnishings

Position is 85% Remote

The individual would attend monthly project team meetings in the Los Angeles area.

Pay: $30.00 - $125.00 per hour
