Role Summary:

The Daktronics Operator is responsible for the execution of all video and graphics on the in-arena LED boards. This role is responsible for updating the sponsorship rotational schedule, updating and editing partner graphics, and managing all partner assets. The Daktronics Operator reports to the Manager, Event Production.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary:

• Operate Daktronics scoreboard(s) during Westchester Knicks home games.
• Set up stats, scoring and timing system within arena.
• Works with EIC to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Take direction and work alongside other production staff to meet video needs of the event.
• Collects assets and schedules sponsorship rotation for ribbon boards and scorer’s table.
• Resize graphics, and motion graphics to fit in-arena LED boards.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years previous production experience with live sports background preferred.
• Proficient with Windows, PC, Mac workstations, and Daktronics.
• Demonstrated experience with Adobe, Creative Cloud Suite (including but not limited to Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator) for video, as well as motion and still graphics production, and TV Production equipment (Audio mixing, video switching video routing, data processing and routing, modulation and distribution systems, and transport systems).
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment and must be able to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and principles while using strong interpersonal skills.
• Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group and skilled at working collaboratively or on a team.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
