About the Position:

A Digital Graphic Designer is needed for a remote contract opportunity with our Long Island, NJ client. Seeking an experienced Digital Graphic Designer with a strong background in digital storytelling to join the creative team. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who is passionate about creating best-in-class digital content for client’s Long Island channels including internal and external websites, social media channels, and digital screens.

Candidates MUST be local to Long Island.

Position is remote but travel within service territory is expected.

Responsibilities:

• Design eye-catching visuals for digital communication campaigns, including online ads, video thumbnails, website graphics, banner ads and more.
• Create graphics and edit photos for social media posts and ad campaigns across the client’s Long Island social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Create properly sized and formatted graphics for very distinct channels and audiences.
• Work with Video Content Producer to create best-in-class short-form video content optimized for high attention retention on platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
• Source photos from stock photography sites and company repository for use across digital platforms.
• Develop infographics and banners for digital display such as monitors and screensavers.
• Work closely with the Manager of Digital Communications and the Marketing department to ensure all visuals are on brand and reflect the style of the company.
• Manage library of images and video content in an organized way to easily obtain visual content as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on visual storytelling trends in the digital space and be able to create visuals that are both modern and on-brand.
• Schedule and manage proactive social media posts.
• Work with customer service team to ensure social media posts and messages are being responded to appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Work with external and internal communications and multiple departments to curate content for digital platforms to drive brand awareness and the support and adoption of the client’s initiatives and programs.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in graphic design, marketing or similar role.
• 5+ years of experience in digital graphic design, with a focus on social media content.
• Strong experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as design apps such as Canva.
• Strong understanding of color theory and typography.
• Excellent understanding of design principles and attention to detail.
• Proven track record of successful digital campaigns utilizing visual content.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results.
• Command of each social media network and knowledge of best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut or other video editing applications a plus.
• Website CMS experience a plus.
• Experience with Digital Asset Management platform.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
