Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time, contracted camera operator who also has experience in editing with Adobe Premiere. The production team is a small, close-knit group, so we are looking for someone who can wear many hats in the production world, but your primary responsibilities will be camera operations, and preparing timelines for editors. There is the opportunity to grow into an editing capacity with time.

Compensation:

• $19-21/hr, depending on experience
• 20 hours/week

Primary Role:

Operating studio camera

Additional Potential Responsibilities: (based on experience and as needed)

Pre-Production:

• Manage and create digital assets for on-set use (digital window, picture frame, and smart board).
• Find and purchase props for filming.

Production:

• Operate studio camera.
• Run teleprompter.
• Mix and record audio.
• Dress set with props and digital assets.

Post-Production:

• Assist with ingesting video and audio files and organizing them into the correct project folders.
• Quality Control (Review final edits and offer feedback notes for the editor).
• Export video files using Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.
• Upload video files to our online platform.

Required Skills:

• Basic camera operation experience (aperture, focus, zoom).
• Basic understanding of frame composition (rule of thirds, headroom, etc).
• Working with a small team.
• Creative eye.
• Ability to take constructive criticism.

Optional Skills/Experience:

• Operating a camera.
• Running a teleprompter.
• Recording professional audio.
• Building projects in Premiere to prepare them for editing.
• Baseline understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator).
• Proficiency in operating Windows and Mac computers.
• Good understanding of file management.
