About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior UI/UX with a willingness to learn and work with the PI System. In this role, you will utilize your design skills and understanding of user experience principles to create, maintain, and improve visual content in PI Vision. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge industrial software solution.

How’d the process work?

An interview with MetaIT’s HR team, your future Manager here at Meta and a final interview directly with Air Liquide’s team.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in UI/UX design principles and tools, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and previous projects.
  • Basic knowledge of image editing tools, such as Paint, to modify pictures and create appealing backgrounds for visual content.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain content structure and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools related to UI/UX design and the PI System.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong ability and comfort to work independently.
  • Solution-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An aptitude for creating high-quality and aesthetically pleasing visual content.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Modify pictures using the program Paint to create picture backgrounds that enhance the visual appeal of PI Vision displays.
  • Utilize PI System Explorer to search for data tags and incorporate them into live content within PI Vision.
  • Create accurate and functional PI Vision displays based on Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) that effectively summarize production assets for specific facilities.
  • Develop dynamic template views in PI Vision to provide users with interactive and customizable visualizations of data.
  • Maintain organization and records of PI Vision content in Google Drive, ensuring easy access and efficient collaboration with team members.
  • Keep the organization of all PI Vision content folders tidy and well-structured to facilitate content management and future enhancements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all PI Vision content by conducting regular quality assurance checks.
  • Develop new content in PI Vision to replace previous legacy historian content, improving the user experience and providing enhanced data insights.

Hiring Methods and overall information.

  • Air Liquide provides their own Laptop.
  • Average of 168 hours per month.
  • Hiring Method: As Contractor (1099 basis)
  • Remote role, but since the customer’s branch is located in Houston, you may be invited to work in the office every once in a while.
