QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor’s degree in video or multimedia production and/or photography is preferred
• At least one year of professional experience shooting and editing video and recording audio is required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Produce a weekly podcast in both audio and video form, outputting and uploading to appropriate platforms
• Edit excerpts from podcast into content built for performance on social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
• Shoot and edit videos meant to showcase wildlife art, the hunting lifestyle, behind-the scenes with artist Ryan Kirby, sales and promotions, and new product launches.

ESSENTIAL TRAITS

• Self motivated and self-starter - the position will require self-management without daily supervision. We’re looking for someone who has a be-your-own boss mentality.
• Results Oriented - must strive to achieve specific performance results to help grow the business using video and audio content and platforms to increase brand awareness and company revenue.
• Project management - must be able to own all aspects of pre- and post-production while sticking to a pre-planned schedule that keeps content constantly flowing to appropriate channels.
• Detail-oriented - The position requires getting the little things right: spelling, grammar, audio balancing, logo placement, etc.
• Team player - the position will require creative collaboration with internal team members and outside agencies. Be prepared to be both critiqued as well as to have your voice heard.

SKILLS

• An understanding of the technology and hardware required to record high quality audio and video - microphones, cameras, lenses, lighting and more.
• An understanding of social media platforms and algorithms, the latest features, tools and trends that can help amplify content to the widest reach possible.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere
• Understanding of storylines and how to weave them into video in a clear, concise way
• Familiarity or ability to quickly learn and use Riverside (podcast recording), Apple iTunes, Spotify and Buzzsprout
• Familiarity with YouTube studio, analytics and monetization
• Animation and graphic design skills are a plus, but not required
• Creative writing skills are a plus, but not required.
• Social media management experience is a plus, but not required
• Hunting and outdoors knowledge is preferred with preference given to candidates with outdoor industry experience.
