REPORTS TO:

Creative Services Manager

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses specialized graphic design software to create designs, layouts, artistic or decorative effects, animation, custom illustrations, logos, and other design elements.
  • Works closely with other graphic designers and members of the marketing and communications team to generate new ideas and brainstorm concepts.
  • Reviews and edits final images and designs to ensure they achieve artistic/functional objectives, are visually appealing and on-brand, and meets client specifications.
  • Balances multiple projects simultaneously and manages competing project deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree
  • Two years of experience working as a graphic designer, marketing assistant, or related position
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of work (digital, print, animation a plus)
  • Two years of experience using computer graphics software, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Adobe Creative Suite), Microsoft Office Suite and experience with motion graphics and photography
  • Strong creative, organizational, problem solving, and time-management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or closely related field
  • Prior experience working in an educational environment

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

  • All candidates should submit an electronic portfolio demonstrating their skill set and level of expertise.

SCHEDULE:

20 hours per week, which will be arranged with supervisor. Work will be done remotely using designer’s own equipment and software, at least through June 2024.
