Stagehands (Part Time/Seasonal/Call List)
- Excellent Pay at $17.00 per hour, seasonal hours for days, evenings and weekends for events and shows + Free Membership! The position will also pay an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours within designated time.
- Assist in the preparation of performance and support spaces for incoming events. Provide labor support for events from load-in through load-out, and restoration of the spaces to their pre-event state. Truck loading and unloading for events/productions.
- Stagehands are hired seasonally throughout the year and as needed to grow our call-list pool for shows and productions when the need arises; we may not be hiring when you apply but your application will be reviewed when we are hiring for the call list/pool.
What you will do!
- A. Space Preparation
- Assist in the preparation and set-up of any required stage equipment and fixtures; rigging of any required soft goods, and flown equipment; hanging and focus of lighting equipment; configuration, and set-up of sound equipment; preparation of any required support spaces.
- B. Event Support
- Assist in the load-in of equipment, and scenery; rigging and setup of equipment, and scenery; execution of lighting and sound requirements. Supply running crew support to include, but not limited to: shift crew; fly line operator; lighting operator; sound operator; follow spot operator; wardrobe; stage management; property crew; special effects crew. Assist in the strike and tear-down of equipment and scenery; load-out of equipment and scenery.
- C. Restoration
- Assist in restoring performance, and support spaces to their pre-event configurations; restoring lights; report equipment problem, or failures to the assigned department head.
What you will need!
- Knowledge of technical theatre practices, and techniques desirable. Willingness to learn techniques and procedures. Ability to work long hours when needed. Must have and maintain a positive attitude, tolerance of diversity, and respect for coworkers, and artists (professional or amateur). *Must be age 18+.
