Responsibilities:

  • UI and Visual Design
  • Design simple and functional software programs based on the UX and logic sketches from the System Project Manager
  • Design online platforms including Ecommerce, booking and possible mobile interfaces
  • Develop design documents that will carry through all systems
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc
  • Implement web best practices, including web standards, creating responsive designs, and accessibility standards
  • Effectively communicate design concepts, strategy, and the rationale behind design decisions by creating Figma UI specifications and functional UI prototypes.
  • Convert conceptual design layouts in Figma into functional HTML and CSS code.
  • Preparing design specifications for handoff to Marketing and Dev teams
  • Proofreads, compares, and verifies the accuracy of all details such as font type, size, color, copy, and logo specifications for all jobs assigned.
  • Demonstrate understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
  • Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes; knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches and prototypes.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the team to review and hone your designs
  • Collaborate with SPM to align on outcomes, user needs and visualize guest experience innovations.
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to get feedback on product design

Communication:

  • Conduct demonstrations of new features and functionalities, to ensure project team and end-user proficiency with new and existing systems, programs, and applications across departments.

Problem Solver:

  • Develop effective and creative solutions to multiple user experience problems.
  • Are familiar with user research methodologies and usability testing

Qualifications:

  • Education: College graduate (Bachelor’s Degree)
  • 2-3 years of software design experience, preferably with POS experience
  • Knowledge of ReactJS Concepts
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development Methodologies
  • Point-of-sale (POS) and e-commerce experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work efficiently and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be a team player
  • Flexibility and agility to adapt to changing and evolving business objectives.
  • Showcase a high level of visual/UI design skills and high level of comfort with typography, spacing, hierarchy, color, etc
  • You have an online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns across desktop and mobile/web applications.
  • Unwavering attention to detail with an acute awareness that everything counts.
