WTVD Graphic Designer, Part Time

Job Summary:

We are the ABC11 Art Department, which is part of the broader marketing department. We are a small team of artists who work together to fulfill art requests for daily news, promotions, signage; Anything and everything the station needs graphics and animations for. We collaborate as a team on creative projects, working together to brainstorm ideas and execute on them. We also work independently on projects, working with our art director and partners to get feedback and take projects from concept to completion.

What You Will Do

• This role will be covering daily news graphic requests, including still graphics and animations. These graphics are part of our daily storytelling across all our shows, creating graphic assets to help viewers understand stories, and make our shows look great.
• Requests are placed by producers and reporters, and they work on them independently to build the assets. We work from a variety of templates, as well as creating original content as needed, often using stock images and assets.
• As a member of the Art Department, they also contribute to our social media presence by designing and animating engaging content for our audience.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of relative design experience
• Experience with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, & Illustrator
• The ability to hit the ground running

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ of relative design experience
• Experience with Cinema 4D and/or other design tools

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
