Role Description
This is a contract role for an Android Developer located in Chicago, IL, with flexibility for remote work. As an Android developer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain Android applications. Other responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, troubleshooting and debugging, and supporting the entire application lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Experience in developing and maintaining Android applications
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio
- Experience using RESTful APIs
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Knowledge of Android SDK components and mobile app architecture patterns
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
