Job Summary:
Responsible for contributing creative content and graphic design to support Jackson School of the Arts’ marketing strategies, social media, print media, events, and web design. Work in partnership with JSA Marketing Team Coordinator and Photography team members to cohesively support annual marketing plan.
Principle Duties:
- Ensure articulation of Jackson School of the Arts desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
- Develop and produce high-quality design concepts, layouts, and visuals for various marketing materials, including brochures, social media graphics, website elements, newsletters and more.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of design work. High Education Courses or a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Affinity and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense to create visually appealing designs.
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Bonus Skill: Experience with WordPress, Loomly, or Trello
This is a part-time position offering flexible working hours, allowing you to balance your design career with other commitments.
Pay Range:
$14 – $18 per hour depending on job experience. Open to supporting interns or recent graduates. Up to 10 hours per week on average. Work is mostly remote but will require in-office meetings on occasion. If planned for over 10 hours, schedule to be reviewed and approved in advance by the Executive Director.
