Position Title: Videographer Job Group: Professional & Scientific Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in cinematography, film, or related area Experience working with Canon equipment Experience with Adobe Cloud Experience with Hootsuite Job Description: The College of Design’s Office of Marketing and Enrollment Strategy seeks a part time Regular with Term Appointment (fixed term) videographer to boost the college’s visibility and reputation with external audiences including prospective undergraduate and graduate students, donors, and potential employees on social media, the college’s website, and in other venues. The videographer will work with the college’s Digital Content Specialist on previously identified and in-progress video projects while also proposing new initiatives and opportunities to engage audiences and build a following. The ideal candidate should be comfortable both collecting and editing footage using college-owned equipment and software, creating motion graphics as needed, and using audio files to create captivating videos of various lengths that share the Iowa State College of Design story. Directing, lighting, and storyboarding skills as well as interviewing and script writing abilities are pluses. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of support members including student workers are necessary. This position will be hired as a part time (20 hours), Regular with Term Appointment (Fixed Term) through 6/1/2024.
