Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and creative writer to join our talented team. As a pivotal contributor to our narrative team, you will harness the power of words to captivate gamers around the world. Your narratives will be the heartbeat of our games, and your words will turn our visions into realities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write high-quality game narratives, including character dialogue, plotlines, and game lore, ensuring consistency with game design and tone.
• Craft compelling content for marketing campaigns, press releases, and social media that aligns with our brand voice and engages our audience.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless integration of storytelling and gameplay.
• Edit and proofread content from other team members, providing constructive feedback to enhance our overall narrative quality.
• Stay abreast of industry trends to ensure Bigtime Games remains at the forefront of gaming narratives and content strategies.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for new game concepts and marketing initiatives.
• Assist in the development of content schedules, ensuring timely delivery of materials in line with product milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a writing role, preferably within the gaming or entertainment industry.
• A portfolio that demonstrates outstanding writing skills and the ability to craft engaging narratives.
• Exceptional storytelling abilities with a knack for character and world-building.
• Strong understanding of gaming culture and what makes content shareable and engaging.
• Excellent grasp of the English language, with impeccable grammar and spelling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SEO and online content strategies.
• Experience working with content management systems.
• Familiarity with the latest trends in mobile gaming and digital technology.
• Basic knowledge of design and video editing tools is a plus.
