Job Description

The Johns Hopkins University Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) is seeking a part-time Graphic Designer to join their marketing and communications team. The Graphic Designer will support various initiatives, events, and projects for the BME department’s programs and online presence. This role involves conceptualizing, creating, and producing marketing materials and visual assets for print and digital mediums while adhering to the university’s brand guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field
• Two years of experience and a portfolio
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience using WordPress, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and Canva
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent typography, layout, and problem-solving skills

Other Information

Applications must include a portfolio.

Preferred qualifications include experience working in an in-house design and/or marketing setting.

The salary range for this position is Min $44,850 - Max $78,360 Annually, commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate(s) will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
