Job Description:

The Research & Development Designer will be responsible for supporting product testing initiatives, quality improvement initiatives, manufacturing operations, technical service, and technical documentation efforts. This includes performing test setups, constructing prototype equipment, troubleshooting, conducting inspections and audits, supporting new product launches, repairing equipment, analyzing parts returns, and creating reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an OEM Industrial Manufacturing environment or as a field service technician for refrigeration/HVAC equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and basic test instrumentation
• Knowledge of brazing processes and mechanical equipment assembly concepts is a plus
• Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, self-starter, and able to work safely in a team environment
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products and comfortable using computerized systems
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to schedules, and complete assignments in a timely manner
• High school graduate, completion of training from a technical trade school is a plus
