Job Description:
The Graphic Designer will provide in-house graphic design expertise as part of the Brand & Image creative team for both shopDisney and digital marketing.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Deliver consistently high standards of digital graphic design solutions to briefs
- Maintain and develop close working relationships with the online and marketing teams
- Coordinate communication on all briefs with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Ensure all creative follows franchise/brand creative guidelines
- Design and deliver digital assets across various platforms
- Create animated content as required
Training and Professional Development:
Operate with integrity and champion change, be an ambassador for the Walt Disney Company. Take ownership of professional development and suggest ways to improve departmental performance and processes.
Areas of Accountability:
- Accountable for delivering on agreed performance commitments
- Accountable for delivering complex digital design projects
- Accountable for meeting project timelines
- Accountable for maintaining productive relationships and collaborating across departments
- Accountable for meeting briefs within defined budget and complying with corporate guidelines
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required:
- Degree level education in graphic/web design or equivalent
- Significant understanding of digital design
- Working knowledge of After Effects, Cinema 4D, Premiere Pro is beneficial
- Previous experience of using Jira, Google docs is preferable
- Previous retail e-commerce experience is preferable
Skills Required:
- Strong graphic design/product design skills and extensive knowledge of Apple Mac and software related, including Adobe CC suite
- Excellent understanding and skills in responsive web design, HTML, and content management systems (CMS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Written and spoken English for business use, fluency in other languages is beneficial
- Commercially astute with a strategic mind and hands-on approach to design
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent high-quality work
- Creative thinker who supports risk-taking while complying with company guidelines
- Ability to interpret business ideas into creative concepts
Additional Information:
- Contribution to ad-hoc projects as required
- Flexible hours may be required to meet business needs
- 4 days per week in the Hammersmith office
