Job Description

• Assists with the interface management of electrical cable routing design, instrumentation design and instrumentation tagging in the owner 3D model.
• Develop and spearhead a management of change process in the owner 3D model for instrumentation and electrical design changes based on project instrument index/load list.
• Clash detection resolution - identify model conflicts between design engineering firm, third party and owner model for the controls and electrical discipline and work with modeling team to resolve.
• Manage electrical/instrumentation models and/or CAD files in BIM360
• Work closely with the electrical/control engineering and modelling teams in the plant design process.
• Develop 3D model for electrical and controls including cabinet tray, instrumentation, motors, enclosures, and electrical buildings.

Requirements

• Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D/iConstruct/Navisworks/Bluebeam
• Familiarity with Excel and VBA
• Familiarity with P&IDs, industrial instrumentation (temperature, flow, level, pressure, etc.) and electrical cable routing
• Experience with detailed design engineering process in the development of a manufacturing plant
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Problem solver
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate electrical and instrumentation designs with other project disciplines including process, civil/structural and piping.

• Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire
• Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 50 per week
