Job Description

The Video Editor at Iqra TV is responsible for manipulating and editing film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience. They must take a brief from the production team and understand their needs and specifications. The Video Editor will review shooting scripts and raw footage to create a shot decision list, ensure technical quality and visual integrity of the videos, and stay up to date with industry trends and editing techniques. They will also manage and organize large amounts of footage and consult with stakeholders throughout the production process.

Requirements

• Good passes in Maths and English at GCSE, O’levels, or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrable experience in print media for marketing purposes
• Demonstrable experience of working in a studio environment with a similar target audience
• Good knowledge and understanding of a studio environment
• Good IT skills with the ability to understand basic software used with an IT component
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and adapt to change
• Ability to work well on own initiative
• Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary
• Commitment to upholding the integrity and standards of IQRA TV

This is a contract role for Iqra TV located in London. The role involves safeguarding compliance with Ofcom and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The successful candidate will be expected to meet deadlines consistently and efficiently manage time to ensure timely delivery of edited videos.
