Job Description:

A design and media studio is looking for a talented, creative designer to join our team as an Intern. Our focus is on brand identity, design, package design, and motion graphics. The designer will work closely with the creative director to produce visually compelling and innovative designs that align with our brand identity and effectively communicate our products, services, and messages to our client’s market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create visual designs for print and digital material.
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
• Establish creative direction for client content, including understanding client needs, design language, and brand guidelines.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications, deadlines, and budget restrictions.
• Provide conceptual thinking and collaboration as part of the design process.
• Work with a wide range of design technologies and software to create high-quality design concepts visually.
• Maintain an organized library of design assets, including templates, images, and fonts, to streamline the design process and ensure easy access for future projects.

Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• At least 2 years of work experience in design or equivalent.
• Degree or Diploma in graphic design or multimedia.
• Knowledge of Cloud storage software and tools such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and One Drive.
• Based in Gauteng, South Africa.
• Own PC/Laptop with software is essential and mandatory.

Please be advised that this vacancy is best suited for new graduates or individuals who are freelancers and will be solely in an intern-based role. Candidates who are currently unemployed will be prioritized first.

Job Type:

Please be aware that this is a part-time position with the first 3 months being commission-based and pitch-based work. The successful candidate will work remotely for the majority of the week and attend 1 session at our studio in Rosebank per week.

Salary:

From R3,500.00 per month

Expected hours:

30 – 40 per week
