Job Description:
The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Graphic Designer with design, print production, and maintenance of museum graphics. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently. The Junior Graphic Designer may undertake other assigned departmental tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
- 2 years of graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Basic knowledge of accessibility standards in visual design
- Strong understanding of print production-ready file setup and delivery
- Experience with large-format printers is required, or an avid willingness to learn quickly
- Some environmental design experience preferred, but not required
- A strong portfolio demonstrating an understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography
Additional Information:
- Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $25.00
- Schedule: 20 hours per week
