Job Description:

The Photographer is responsible for preserving lasting memories for On Point competitors. This position requires applicants to shoot high quality action shots in low light, fast-paced conditions. Candidates must be able to confidently adjust shutter speeds, apertures, and ISO settings to capture crisp, well-lit images of subjects that are constantly moving. He/she must have a creative eye and be able to capture both wide angle and close-up images as a routine performs. Past dance convention/competition experience is very beneficial but not necessary. The photography candidate must have the physical stamina to endure long days standing while shooting. The position will also include a variety of other duties including setting up and breaking down each event.

Requirements:

• MUST have Canon experience - photographer will use On Point’s cameras and lenses
• MUST have computer experience - photographer will use On Point’s computers to store/categorize images
• Reliability and attention to detail is a MUST! - we cannot miss or “lose” routine photos
• Positive, can-do personality
• Well-groomed appearance
• Ability to work long hours in high-stress theatrical production environments
• Located within a reasonable driving distance of Hillsborough, NJ
• Will share responsibility for driving company van, paid for by On Point
• Physically able to lift/lower equipment for load-in/load-out at corporate office and for set-up/break-down at each event
• Past dance convention/competition experience is very helpful!

Other Information:

• This position is a part-time, seasonal, 1099 contract job
• Weekly compensation is tiered based on the length of each event
• Event transportation, double-occupancy hotel accommodations, and on-site meals are provided
