Job Description

RJ Retail LLC is currently seeking a talented and experienced freelance photographer to join our team. As a photographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality and visually appealing photographs for various assignments and projects. This includes collaborating with clients to understand their vision and requirements, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite for post-production editing and retouching, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality and visually appealing photographs
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite for post-production editing and retouching
  • Utilize color theory and composition techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques
  • Manage and organize digital files
  • Collaborate with other team members
  • Conduct photo shoots in various locations and environments
  • Edit and deliver final images within agreed-upon timelines

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a freelance photographer or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Strong knowledge of photography techniques
  • Familiarity with post-production processes and photo editing software
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of sales techniques to promote photography services and secure new clients
  • Experience in journalism or social media management is a plus
  • Basic understanding of video production is an advantage

Additional Information

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Freelance

Pay: $34.47 - $41.56 per hour

Compensation package:

  • 1099 contract
  • Hourly pay
  • Paid per project

Schedule:

  • On call
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends only

Ability to Commute:

  • New Brunswick, NJ (Required)

Work Location: In person
