Michigan Rock School - Musician - Music Coach/Mentor

Musician is needed in Milford, United States.

Client: Michigan Rock School

Location: Milford, United States

Contract: Part Time

Job Description

Michigan Rock School is looking for passionate musicians that love music and working with kids. We aren’t the typical lesson studio, so we’re not looking for the typical music instructor. Our students do amazing things, and that starts with amazing people sharing their love of music in an amazing environment. We have immediate need for instructors to teach voice/singing and rock band classes for multiple age ranges. Ideal candidate is also a multi-instrumentalist with at least basic skills/understanding of other instruments we teach – guitar, bass, drums – and comfortable leading or willing to learn to lead band rehearsals. One of our master instructors will train and mentor you in our teaching methods, and help you develop your skills to share your musical knowledge with the next generation of musicians. Immediate need for candidates to work our late week (Thursday-Saturday) schedule, with possible other days available.

• Be passionate about music and sharing your knowledge/experience
• Be knowledgeable about music, and creative and flexible in teaching methods
• Be comfortable working with both kids and adults
• Have strong communication skills

• Have a clean record (background check required)
• Prior teaching experience helpful, but not necessary if you are otherwise a strong candidate
