Job Description:

The Firmware Software Engineer will be based in Riverside, MO and report to the Engineering Manager. They will travel with the sales team to customer fleet locations to understand their software packages and integrate software solutions to enhance the customer software package. Responsibilities include writing specifications, developing & testing software, and coordinating with customers for systems integration.

Requirements:

Key responsibilities of the role include creating firmware test and development software using C/C++ on embedded systems with ARM device architecture, knowledge of communication protocols like CAN bus, SPI, and I2C, experience in microcontroller hardware design, identifying design improvements, supporting manufacturing processes, assisting in data collection for control systems, and maintaining requirements and design documents.

Top Skills required include Firmware Development, C/C++, RTOS-Linux Experience, and ability to provide lead/mentorship support.

Additional qualifications include the ability to read circuit schematics, expertise in C/C++ programming, experience in troubleshooting during hardware/software integration, and familiarity with intrinsic safety design for hazardous environments.
