Job Description:

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for specifying, designing, developing, and testing software that commands and communicates with embedded devices. You will work primarily in C and Embedded Linux, so familiarity with these technologies is essential. Collaboration is key as you will seek input, interface with others, define requirements, and more. Additionally, you will participate in software architecture development, design and test flight software code, document software requirements, and support major customer reviews of software integration and test efforts.

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science or greater in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field

- 5+ years of experience delivering and maintaining commercial software in a production environment

- Expertise with C, Embedded Linux, and Linux

- Familiarity with Git for version control management

- Passion for working closely with hardware

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Python and C++

- Experience in high reliability, safety critical, or regulated environments

- Knowledge of FPGA (e.g. VHDL)

- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. JAMA, DOORs)

- Experience with software scheduling and tasking tools (e.g. Jira)

- Capability to use electrical measurement equipment i.e.: function generators, oscilloscopes
