Job Description

As a Back-End Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing, testing, and maintaining reusable code in PHP using Lumen/Laravel and MySQL. You will develop enterprise-quality code, participate in code reviews, collaborate with other team members, and work on developing APIs for frontend interfaces.

Requirements

Requirements for this role include:

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• Proficiency in PHP and API development
• Experience with databases like MySQL and third-party APIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and data modeling
• Ability to create testable APIs and work with data interchange formats like JSON or XML
• Basic Linux server and environment experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Nice to Have Skills

Additional skills that would be beneficial for the role

• Experience with tools like Composer, Vagrant, PHPStorm, docker, or PHPUnit
• Knowledge of PSR standards and ability to write unit tests using BDD or TDD
