Job Description

The Videographer and Photographer at YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is responsible for producing high-quality photos and videos to showcase the organization’s story across digital platforms and lead the video production of virtual programs. This role is critical in supporting the Y’s strategic priorities, including member experience, program and summer experience, staff experience, and philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities

• Building an organized content library of photos and videos.
• Executing production of virtual programs.
• Directing, capturing, editing, and publishing high-quality videos.
• Managing storage and naming convention of all video and photo content.
• Maintaining photo, video, audio, and lighting equipment.
• Supporting the improvement of digital platforms.
• Fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in film, media, cinematography, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in photography and videography.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to tell compelling stories.
• Interpersonal skills to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
• Time management and multitasking abilities to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to complete required trainings, including Child Abuse Prevention.

Additional Information

• Wage: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour
• Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
• Location: YMCA Association Office, Tacoma, WA
