Job Description

The Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking a Part-Time Graphic Designer with copywriting skills to join the special events team. The role involves creating visually compelling design assets for print and digital platforms, collaborating with teams to align designs with brand guidelines, staying updated on design trends, and developing engaging written content.

Requirements

Educational and experience requirements include a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication, or related field, along with at least two years of experience in graphic design and copywriting roles. Key skills and abilities needed are a strong portfolio demonstrating design projects, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, strong copywriting skills, excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with marketing principles.

Other Information

Work Schedule: Part-time position with flexibility in hours, approximately 10-15 hours/week with the potential for increased hours during peak project periods.
