Job Description

MLB Network is seeking a Freelance 3D Artist with expertise in 3D animation and design to assist in the creation of on-air content aligning with creative objectives set by the Manager, Creative Design. Responsibilities include collaborating on project pitches, developing on-air graphics packages for MLB Network and NHL Network shows, exploring new creative tools, and working individually or within a team to achieve creative goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of animation experience or related business experience
• Strong understanding of the 3D pipeline and ability to adapt to different roles as needed
• Advanced knowledge of Cinema 4D; familiarity with Maya is a plus
• Experience with Redshift and/or VRay render engines is advantageous
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Knowledge of creating styleframes and storyboards
• Ability to operate render farms and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Comfort with standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and possessing visual acuity and manual dexterity

The 3D Artist is expected to continuously enhance their skills and familiarity with industry trends. Proficiency in both Apple OS and PC platforms is necessary, as well as a proactive and adaptable demeanor to excel in the fast-paced live television environment.
