Job Description

The AI team at Samsung Research UK is seeking a talented Graphics Engineer to join their dynamic team in Staines-upon-Thames. The role involves working across various technologies to develop cutting-edge algorithms and software for innovative products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Advanced Rendering and Animation techniques utilized in Augmented and Mixed Reality (AR/MR).

Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• Expertise in Computer Graphics using APIs like OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or DirectX
• Strong 3D maths and Linear algebra skills
• Experience with Mesh manipulation algorithms
• Knowledge of advanced rendering techniques such as Global Illumination, Physically Based Rendering (PBS/PBR), Soft Shadows, etc.
• Proficiency in Shading languages like GLSL, HLSL, CG
• Experience in Software Development using C++ and Python (C# and Java advantageous)
• Ability in Testing, Debugging, and Performance profiling
• Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and ability to present technical details clearly

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with Machine Learning libraries like TensorFlow, Caffe, PyTorch
• Experience with Unity or Unreal render engine
• Knowledge of Android application development
• Usage of Augmented Reality frameworks like AR-Core and AR-Kit
• Proficiency in modelling tools like Blender, Maya, and 3D Max
• Experience with Animation techniques such as skeletal animation, Blend-shapes, Inverse Kinematics
