Job Description

The Junior Graphic Designer will collaborate with internal college departments and external partners to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media that captures the attention and communicates the right message to the target audience. This person will have proven graphic design experience and a strong ability to translate requirements into design using their keen eye for aesthetics and details.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create new or modify existing design projects for internal and external audiences while adhering to brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with clients and maintain good relationships throughout the production process.
• Create and prepare digital files for various printing formats.
• Suggest graphic design methods for presenting ideas.
• Maintain an organized archive of all design files.
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Associate degree in graphic design/graphic arts or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and problem solve in an environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and make independent judgments.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work as a team member with various stakeholders.
• Familiar with digital and conventional prepress file preparation.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Portfolio or sample of graphic design work requested upon application.
