Job Description

One of the largest Media companies in the U.S. is looking to hire a Senior Android Engineer to join the team for the next 6 months+. The role involves greenfield development on their FireTV application team and contributing to the re-architecture of the digital experience that millions of users interact with daily. The majority of the team is offshore, requiring the candidate to work autonomously with extensive knowledge of the tech stack.

Requirements

• Hands-on development in Kotlin using Android TV “leanback” library, including RowPresenters, Item Presenters
• Experience with Kotlin Jetpack components - Coroutines, Flows & LiveData
• Kotlin threading concepts with Coroutines, Coroutine context, and scope
• Knowledge of Android Architectures like MVVM and MVP
• Proven track record of working at pace and adding value quickly
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Responsibilities include writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code, building slick user-facing features using Kotlin, completing tickets promptly, and supporting the test and deployment of new products and features.
